Voted "Best New Comic" by The New York Daily News in 1980, Tommy Koenig was one of the first of the new breed of comics that colonized the nation and ushered in the modern day comedy club circuit. His frequent appearances on stand-up comedy shows (A&E's 'Comedy on the Road' from London, Jamaica, New York and LA; as well as 'Evening at The Improv', MTV's 'Half-Hour Comedy Hour', Showtime's 'Comedy Club All-Stars', and other TV shows (from 'Miami Vice' to 'Scooby Doo'), film (Mel Brook's 'Robin Hood', 'Dracula', co-star of 'Stitches'), and commercials along with consistent success in clubs and concerts all over the world have made him a mainstay in the entertainment business for over 40 years and still going strong.
Tommy just recently returned from headlining at The Tropicana in Las Vegas and guest starred on one of the final episodes of ABC's 'Boston Legal'.
His one-man MusiComedy show, 'Baby Boom Baby', is being performed internationally, just finishing a month in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and his new DVD of 'The Tommy Koenig Show' (voted 'Best Comedy of 2002' by Theatremania) and his new CD, 'History of Rock and Roll – Volume One' are on sale now.
